HAYDON VIEW

Haydon View is situated above the town of Haydon Bridge on the road to Chesterwood, with spectacular views of Tynedale Valley.

Haydon View is only a stones throw from the centre of Haydon Bridge, and only six miles from Hexham, which offers a wide range of shops and facilities.

The home is part purpose built providing facilities for 27 residents under the registered Homes Act of 1984 with Northumberland County Council.

There are 23 single rooms and 2 double rooms available for those who request them. Shared accommodation is available to enable existing couples to enter the home and maintain a sharing relationship. There is also the ability to utilise twin rooms for those existing residents who express the wish to share accommodation, either to pursue a friendship or to further a relationship which has developed within the home.

Individual rooms are furnished to a high standard - most have en-suite facilities - for comfort and safety. Rooms are furnished with single divan beds including continental quilt, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, a large chest of drawers, bedside light, washbasin, vanity unit and chair

We like to make sure that our residents are happy and well catered for so we do encourage visitors. Children are also welcome and can safely play in our gardens and grounds.

Residential Care Home
We offer a choice of menu with snacks, and tea or coffee is available at all times on request. All food is home cooked and meal times are variable to suit the residents.

We also like to encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own possessions, i.e. clocks. photographs. plants. televisions etc.

We offer a wide range of social activities within the home ranging from outings, painting, reminiscence sessions and participating in activities with local schools.

Throughout the year we hold coffee mornings, fetes and barbecues - weather permitting. Some of our residents are able to enjoy more strenuous activities such as chairobics and swimming sessions at the local pool.

Haydon View is on a regular bus route and the railway station is at the bottom of the bank. Should a visitor find it a bit of a struggle walking up the bank, we are happy to offer lifts to the home.
