Manor Road Residential Care Home is situated in the centre of the picturesque seaside town of Tynemouth. Formerly a Victorian town house, 2 Manor Road has been tastefully converted to a care home

There is accommodation for 24 residents in single rooms. Shared accommodation is available to enable existing couples to enter the home and maintain a sharing relationship. There is also the ability to utilise twin rooms for those existing residents who express the wish to share accommodation, either to pursue a friendship or to further a relationship which has developed within the home.

Individual rooms are furnished to a high standard for comfort and safety, with single divan beds including continental quilt, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, a large chest of drawers, bedside light, washbasin, vanity unit and chair.

We like to encourage residents to personalise their rooms with clocks, photographs, plants, television etc.

Manor Road is only a stones throw away from the centre of Tynemouth and it is only ten miles from Newcastle which offers a wide range of shops and facilities.

We like to make sure that our residents are happy and well catered for so we do encourage visitors. Children are also welcome and can play safely in our gardens.

We offer a choice of menu with snacks, and tea or coffee is available at all times on request. All food is home cooked and meal times are variable to suit the residents.

We offer a wide range of social activities within the home, and we have now appointed an Activities Organiser to organise outings, painting and reminiscence sessions and participation in activities with local schools

There are coffee mornings throughout the year and fetes and barbecues - weather permitting. Some of our residents are able to take part in more strenuous activities like chairobics and swimming sessions at the local pool.
